Weekly Ride Change - May 30/31.

Hello Everyone,

Just an update on the email I sent Monday.  I am moving the regular Wednesday ride to Thursday this week to go to "Last Thursday" motorcycle meet-up in Sioux Falls.  We will meet at Bak BMW at 4 PM leaving shortly thereafter.  We will take north back roads to Sioux Falls, get there about 6 PM, and probably head back to Sioux City on the Interstate around 7:30 or so.

Not everyone can ride this Thursday and some don't like riding in the dark.  If you would like to ride tonight (Wed. May 30th) with Jim and Lynn Johnson, contact Jim at (712) 251-5215

Also, the Hiawatha Rally is this weekend near Houston MN.  If you would like to go, contact Steve Martin at (712) 574-0155

There is SSR (the local CMA Chapter) ride to Yankton Sunday morning for a meal at Jo Deans and the annual bike blessing at the dam there.  They are meeting at the Wal-Mart on Floyd Boulevard Sunday morning at 8:45.  If your interested contact Duane and Jodie Kraayenbrink at (712) 574-0934

The following weekend is the Pure Stodge Rally near Amana, Iowa - http://purestodge.org/

Weekly Rides Continue...

Weekly Rides

Weekly BSR rides continue through September 27th.   We will meet every Wednesday at Bak BMW at 4 PM and ride from there.  Tell your boss, secretary, spouse or whoever it is you tell such things too, that you are required to attend aroma therapy, lamaze classes, or golf league on Wednesday afternoons - whatever works to get you out and riding.  We will all cover for you!  If it reaches sixty degrees during the day and it's not raining, plan on riding.  Whoever shows up can determine the destination (list below).  As we did last year, we will switch to from Wednesdays to Thursday starting in August, so those poor souls who have already locked themselves into other Wednesday meetings or work schedules can still ride later in the year.

Below is a list of possible weekly ride destinations.  We have already done the orange listings.  We would  like to do Bob's Bar and Bob Dog's on a couple of Tuesdays (regular meetings).  Send me any more places you want to add to the list.

BSR Update - Ride Today @ 4

If it's not raining this afternoon, the weekly ride will be at 4 today.  Meet at Bak BMW.

Spring has finally sprung and the Spring Campout is now just ten short days away.  BBQ ribs, muffins and coleslaw are on the menu for Friday evening.  Campfire beans, brats and chips for Saturday night.  If someone wants to help with desert one evening let me know, we are still hammering those details out.  We are looking at a 150-200 mile ride on Saturday for those interested.  We quit hosting the flashlight contest a couple years ago after Doug gave us some concerns that the club might be added to a Homeland Security watch list and he was named the winner for all-time.  Since many of you don't drink or almost all of you don't smoke cigars, we are looking for ideas on what to do in the evenings around the campfire.  Please send me some ideas.   If you are thinking you will be coming to the campout, give me a heads up this week or next so I can keep a running head count for food.  Details are here: https://bigsiouxriders.blogspot.com/2018/03/15th-annual-big-sioux-rider-spring.html
