We are camping below the Pickstown dam this year, hopefully out of the wind. We have reserved our regular two spots (25E and 27E), but if the handicapped spot between our two spots is available (26E), then swap 26E with 27E. We can't reserve 26E in advance until one of you actually becomes handicapped and gets a parking badge. We are allowed to have up to 6 people camping on a spot.

After 18 years, the one thing we all understand about this campout is that the weather can change quickly and it's often not predictable. There was a year when the forecast was decent and we got snowed on, and there have been few years where the forecast looked pretty gloomy but we had terrific weekends. If you plan to show up Saturday afternoon please call before you leave and let us know you are coming - brion.hase@gmail.com or 712-253-4650. If you haven't RSVP'd us you are coming to the campout, it would be nice if you could.

The campout officially starts on Friday and goes to Sunday. The weather forecast isn't great, but Friday's weather looks good. If "everyone" gets cold and wet and decides to leave Saturday afternoon, the Saturday night supper and Sunday breakfast cook outs may be canceled.

Meals - Everything this year is to be cooked on fire pits or camp stoves with old school iron and percolating coffee pots.
Friday Night - brats, Frump-n-Sleddog beans, chips, Marlene's "special" choc chip & nut cookies and other magical fruits.
Saturday Morning - Cowboy Breakfast (hash browns, sausage, bacon, eggs, onions, peppers, cheese etc cooked in a dutch oven.
Saturday Night - Chili, cornbread, chips and cobbler
Sunday Morning - Biscuits and gravy

The less taller Johnson has asked to let riders know that there will be a lunch stop at the Country Cafe on Highway 14 in Niobrara about noon on Friday.

Have a great ride. See you all there and keep the rubber side down.
Brion Hasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07895467186266379152noreply@blogger.com
